The implementation of an efficient product identification system is an essential component of a profitable firm. That being said, it is often a struggle for firms to conceive of an identification system that allows them to quickly locate their products. This difficulty can be attributed to a myriad of factors including; conflicting software design, and an inability to organize document control.

One way to overcome these difficulties is to examine the process of product identification from a product lifecycle management (PLM) perspective. The main goal of using this point of view is to “build a complete story relative to your products.” This story will combine one key element of the product with several reference elements into a comprehensive identification system. Users will then be able search by a variety of elements when attempting to locate an item.

Now Stocking New 506WLC Series Products

June 8, 2011 – LaFox, Illinois: Richardson RFPD, Inc. today announces it has been selected by American Technical Ceramics (ATC) as the global exclusive distributor for the new 506WLC Series of Ultra-Broadband Inductors. This select group of inductors has been engineered with a powdered iron ferrite core and gold plated terminations to provide reliable and repeatable ultra-broadband performance beyond 40 GHz. These inductors are ideal for many applications, including use in trans-impedance amplifiers, ultra-broadband DC coupling networks, and broadband test equipment.

Characteristic of the 506WLC inductors is their distinctive pyramid shape, which allows the copper wire to be tightly wrapped around its core and, thus, provide maximum inductance within the overall dimensions of the product. Their shape also makes these parts easy to handle during hand soldering operations. Additionally, these passive components have been carefully manufactured to provide ultra low insertion loss, flat frequency response and an excellent match over multiple octaves of frequency spectrum.

Key Product Features and Advantages:

• Current inductance values in the series: 2.0 μH, 6 μH, and 11 μH
• Wide operating frequency range: as low as 500 KHz through 40+ GHz
• Low insertion loss: as low as 0.4 dB
• Ample return loss: typically > 17 dB
• Low DC resistance
• Extremely rugged design
• Operating temperature range (ºC): -40 to +85
• Excellent unit-to-unit performance repeatability
• RoHS compliant
