AAI has developed a strong expertise in Power Management and has specialized in the development and production of controllers for Switch Mode Power Supplies and Feedback and Support ICs. Newer part numbers will follow the AAI Part Numbering Convention, while the IN-PLUG® brand will continue to be associated with the existing Power Management and LED Lighting series of products. These products are supported for customization.

New to the 2009-2010 AAI’s Power Management products are a series of Controllers with provision for direct offline connection for drawing start-up power, eliminating the need for other parts intensive start-up regulator options. These include versions of AAI’s versions of the industry standard x842/x843 Current Mode Controllers (AAC1042/1043/2042/2043), as well as a family of fixed operating frequency versions (AAC1045 offered with frequency options of 65kHz, 100kHz, 133kHz), intended as options versus other similar industry common products. Additionally, we have expanded on the offering of AAC142/143 options with a new, lower current limit threshold version (AAC242/243).
